"I hope that my photographs not only portray nature’s beauty and splendor, but also inspire people to go out and experience nature for themselves."

In the early 90s I came to Colorado and began to venture into the mountains to climb peaks, to backpack and to explore alpine lakes for fishing. I soon gained a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty and developed a strong desire to share the essence of nature with others through my photography.

"Everyone can benefit from coming closer to nature, whether from short walks in the park or overnight backpacks in a remote wilderness."

Spending time in nature opens us up and allows us to see great beauty where otherwise it would go unnoticed. Connecting with nature clears the mind of the normal distractions of life, leaving us rejuvenated and refreshed.

"It is my hope that more and more people will find rest and rejuvenation in the company of nature, and in the process, develop a love of nature and a desire to protect it."

In 1998, my wife Michelle and I founded Les Moore Photography to share my vision of the beauty and spirit of nature. Our images are marketed for stock use and are also sold as framed and unframed fine art prints. I love photographing with my 4X5 inch large format camera, which provides excellent sharpness and detail, even in very large prints.
